Butler County High School FCCLA Makes Autism Bracelets

Eighteen FCCLA members met after school on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 to begin making “Beading to Beat Autism” bracelets. This project was started by 14 year old Michala Riggle. Her mission is to raise $300,000.00 to build a world-class autism research and treatment center. Michala and her “peeps” have already reached and gone above and beyond the initial goal of raising $200,000 for an autism study at Kosair Children’s Hospital.

FCCLA members hand-beaded each bracelet. Our goal is to make and sell 300 of them! Bracelets will be available during school and basketball games for $3.00 each. All proceeds go to the Michala Riggle Beat Autism Foundation, Inc. Please help Michala and FCCLA reach this goal to help kids with autism. Like Michala says “YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!”

What a wonderful idea! Great job FCCLA on helping raise not only autism awareness but contributing to autism research as well.
That is a very kind and generous idea.
So proud of Butler County students and their compassionate endeavor.
