The Butler County Stockman’s Association will hold their annual livestock sale on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eva Hawes Ag Exposition Center in the Morgantown City Park.

The Stockman's Association is searching for farmers to consign livestock to the sale.  Consignment packets are available at the Extension Office now for those interested in consigning cattle.  The packets will give specific requirements for heifers and bulls to be in the sale.  HEIFERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE REGISTERED.   We are glad to sell registered heifers, but crossbred heifers have done very well in the past in the Stockman's Association Sale.  Farmers are encouraged to consider selling some of their calves locally to receive increased revenue from this year's calf crop.

The consignment deadline is January 25, 2013, so consider what you might have that would work in this sale and support your Butler County Stockman's Association and help build a reputation for good Butler County Cattle.

For more information, contact the Butler County Extension Office at 112 E GL Smith Street, Morgantown, or call 270-526-3767.

Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
