Butler County Bears Varsity Fall Short to Muhlenberg County, 5-3

Butler County Baseball fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Bears. After Muhlenberg County scored two runs in the top of the sixth, Butler County answered with two of their own when Duane Daniel singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Muhlenberg County pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. Allen was the winning pitcher for Muhlenberg County. He allowed five hits and three runs over five and a third innings, striking out five and walking one. Caden Yates threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

 

Warren Cameron took the loss for Butler County. He allowed ten hits and four runs over five and a third innings, striking out two. The Bears tallied eight hits. Ross West and Leevi McMillin each racked up multiple hits for Butler County. West went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Bears in hits. Butler County didn't commit a single error in the field. Eli Lewis had six chances in the field, the most on the team.
