Brandon Embry named head football coach at BCHS

The Butler County High School Athletic Department is excited to announce the selection of Mr. Brandon Embry as the new head varsity football coach for the 2018-2019 season. Brandon Embry is a 2003 graduate of Butler County High School in which he was a member of the varsity football team his senior year. He continued his education at Western Kentucky University where he earned a bachelor's degree with a double major in Social Studies and History with an emphasis in Secondary Education.  He also received a Master's degree from WKU.

"It is a privilege to have been given the opportunity to be BCHS Football Head Coach," said Embry.  "I am looking forward to bringing new energy to the program and rebuilding the program."

Mr. Embry has been employed at BCHS for the past 10 years and has a coaching background that has prepared him for his new role as head football coach.  Coach Embry has helped coach football at BCHS since 2006.  For the past 8 seasons he has served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Bears.  Under the previous head coach, Mr. Embry was given all defensive responsibilities from game planning, scouting, practice planning to running defensive practices. He also has helped with the offense by directing the offensive line and the offensive backs as needed.

Butler County High School Principal Michael Gruber stated, “Coach Embry brings a good wealth of football knowledge and experience to our football program. Coach Embry’s love of the game of football is evident. Our student-athletes are very familiar with him, they respect him and I feel they are fortunate to have him as their head coach.”

"Congratulations to Coach Embry and best of luck for the Butler County football team," said Gruber.

Coach Embry will also continue in his role as athletics' director at BCHS.
