BCNSDAR Meets Thursday March 27 to Celebrate “Women in History” Members Meeting at 6:00 Program at 6:30 PM Butler County Public Library
Butler County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, on Thursday, March 27, will be celebrating “Women in History” at the Butler County Public Library. Members meeting will be at 6:00 with program to follow at 6:30 PM.
Our honored guest will be Arrah Wanna Pendley Evans who is BCNSDAR’s senior member and Butler Counties very own “Rosie the Riveter.” “Rosie the Riveter” was born during World War II and considered the ideal woman worker: loyal, efficient, patriotic, and pretty . She even had a song written about her. She is also a reminder to all of us to try new things, test our limits, and believe in ourselves and others.
Public is invited to join us at 6:30 to learn more about ‘Rosie’ or join us at 6:00 for meeting and learn more about the Butler County DAR.
The NSDAR has an abundance of ladies who have made their mark in history and today are striding forth in so many directions. Their tales of dedication and courage can inspire us!
BCNSDAR meets the 4th Thursday of every month. We are also involved in: Annual Silver Tea, Constitution Week, Annual Veterans Breakfast, Festival of Trees, Annual Holiday Home Tour and we celebrate Annual flag Day and every third year Memorial Day.
NSDAR is now excepting DNA with application papers. This is no longer your Grandma’s DAR!
So, if you think their is a patriot from 1776 in your family tree, come to a meeting or call number below. BCNSDAR registrar and the Root Seekers will help you dig!
