BC Public Library Site Demolition & Mass Grading Project Bids

BUTLER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SITE DEMOLITION & MASS GRADING PROJECT

Sealed proposals for the following work will be received by the Butler County Public Library, 116 W. Ohio Street, Morgantown, Kentucky 42261, until 4:00 PM (CDT), on Thursday, July 9, 2020, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work as set forth by the Advertisement, General Conditions, Specifications and/or Drawings prepared by Bryant Engineering, Inc.   Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the above conditions will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The work to be bid includes demolition of existing site features, including a residential structure, and mass earthwork grading located at 402 North Main Street, including all appurtenances shown on the contract drawing and plans.

A set of plans and specifications can be obtained by priority mail by sending a check payable to Bryant Engineering in the amount of $100.00 or can be picked up in person for an amount of $75.00.  The cost of plans, specifications, and shipping is nonrefundable.

All bidders shall be registered bidders, which can only be accomplished by purchasing plans and specifications through one of the above offices.

Sealed proposals for this Contract shall be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope as follows:

"Sealed Proposal for Butler County Public Library Site Demolition & Mass Grading Project” not to be opened until 4:00 PM (CDT), Thursday, July 9, 2020."

Bids shall be accompanied by certified check or bid bond made payable to the Butler County Public Library, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the base bid.  No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the date bids are opened.  He may, however, withdraw his bid at any time prior to the time and date scheduled for opening of same or any authorized postponement thereof.  Any bid received after the time and date specified shall not be considered and will be returned unopened to the bidder.
