BC Bassmasters travel to Barren River Lake

Butler County Bassmasters held their fifth team trail points tournament for the 2016 season at Barren River Lake on Friday night July 15th. The weather at the lake was 6.5 ft. high but clear, with plenty of fish being caught. The fish were scattered, with multiple patterns producing fish. The bigger fish seemed to still be in their regular summer patterns out deep, but fish were caught all through the water column. There were 41 fish brought to the weigh scale for a total weight of 93.59 pounds for the tournament, with all but 1 being released alive.

Chris Johnson and Dustin Dockery took home 1st place with 17.35 lbs.,2nd place went to John Rosser and Cody Pardue with 15.11 lbs.,3rd was David Coleman and Ryan Coleman with 11.90 lbs., Big Bass went to Chris Johnson and Dustin Dockery with a 4.93 lb. largemouth.

The next BCB event will be an Open night tournament at the State Park ramp on Lake Malone, Friday July 29th from 6:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Entry fee will be $40.00. This tournament will be a 3 fish limit instead of the regular 5 fish limit. It will be combined with the regular Friday night open on Lake Malone. Come on out for a great night of fishing.
