BCHS College /Post Secondary School Fair

Butler County High School held their annual College/Post Secondary School Fair on Thursday, September 27. The event was hosted by the BCHS Guidance Office and Youth Service Center. Seniors, Juniors, and sophomores were allowed to take full advantage of  information from over 34 different post secondary schools.

Students were allowed to gather information for future use and speak to representatives from schools of their interest.
Ms. Destiny O’Rourke from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) was also on hand.  KHEAA is the state agency that administers KEES Scholarships, grants, other scholarships, work-study, a saving plan, and Federal Family Education Loans to help students pay their higher education expenses.

The following schools were represented:
Universities- Bethel, Brescia, Campbellsville, Eastern, Kentucky State,  Morehead State, Murray State, Oakland City, Sullivan, Kentucky, Louisville, Cumberlands,  Cincinnati Christian, and Western Kentucky.
College- Daymar, Georgetown, Lindsey Wilson, Nashville Auto Diesel, Midway, Owensboro Community & Tech, Ranken, St. Catharine, Spencerian, Thomas More, Madisonville Community College, and Union.
Also in attendance were: Bowling Green Tech College/KY Advanced Tech Inst., Elizabethtown Community & Tech College, UPS/Metropolitan College, North Central Institute, Lindsey Institute of Cosmetology, P.J.’s College of Cosmetology, Sullivan College of Tech & Design, Gatton Academy of math and Science, and West Ky Area Health Education Center.
