Career Day at B.C.M.S.

Eric Ingram from Ingram Brothers LLC

Butler County Middle School held its annual Career Day on Thursday, November 19, for 6th and 8th grades.  The event is sponsored by the Butler County Youth Services Center.  Melissa Glass was the primary coordinator of Career Day.
Several business leaders from the community took time out of their day to come to the school and discuss possible career options with students.
The morning session was for 8th grade students.  The students had previously filled out a survey expressing their career intersts.  They were then group into categories that best reflected their individual survey results.

"The success of career day was dependent upon the cooperation of the many professionals who volunteered their time and visited BCMS," said Melissa Glass.  "It was a pleasure to work with the group who presented this year.  We are so grateful for their enthusiasm and the time they invested in the students."

"We always look for ways to involve the community in the overall education of students at B.C.M.S," said Principal Tim Freeman.  "Career Day is one of the ways we do that and I really appreciate the hard work of our staff and leaders in our community who make events like these a success."
