Butler County High School NJROTC: 2014 Paducah Tilghman Field Meet

On the morning of Saturday, September 13th, 43 cadets from the BCHS NJROTC program went to the 2014 Paducah Tilghman meet. At this meet, ten surrounding JROTC programs came to compete in a variety of sports ranging from basketball shootout to 1 mile relay races. Some of the schools present were Owensboro, Daviess, Muhlenberg, Graves, Paducah, Henderson, and Mclean. The event started with all outdoor sports which consisted of the 50 meter dash, 1 mile relay, football relay, ski board race, and silly games. When that was finished, we began indoor sports consisting of Basketball shootout, Volleyball, Dodgeball, an endurance challenge, Tug of War and Tiny Tug of War (130 pounds or less). Of the events participated in, we placed 2nd in the Basketball shootout and 3rd in the Volleyball tournament. We arrived home safely at 7:34p.m. Everyone had a good time and we look forward to next year.
