Butler County Girls Softball 5K "Home Run"
On Saturday October 25, Butler County Girls Softball hosted the "Homerun" 5K run/walk. The registration began at approximately 6:45 AM. The participants were led to the area directly behind Morgantown Elementary school at approximately 7:56am. The proprietors of the event welcomed the participants before suddenly declaring the 5K to be underway. 21 minutes and 43 seconds later, Ryan Patterson was the first to finish the 5K, followed by many others.
After all of the participants finished the 5K, everyone was assembled in front of the South entrance of Butler County Middle School for the presentation of the awards. The awards went as follows:
Overall Male Runner: Ryan Patterson
Overall Female Runner: Ashley Vaughn (Former BC Bears Softball Player)
Overall Female Walker: Cindy McCoy
